Society needs watchers as well as workers. The young woman, Miriam, probably in her early teenage years, was given an assignment to watch over a basket placed between the reeds by the banks of the Nile River. The basket contained the very future of lsrael. Her assignment required diligence, courage and patience. lt needed a leader with the ability to see and appreciate what was at stake. Miriam's assignment was a destiny assignment with generational consequences.
